Gdynia Sailing Days 2025 – 26th edition of the sailing festival on the Baltic Sea

Gdynia will once again become the capital of sailing. From July 7th to 27th, the 26th edition of one of the largest and most prestigious sailing festivals in Europe, Gdynia Sailing Days, will take place. This year, the regatta will attract both professional athletes and amateur sailors from around the world.

The program will include international regattas, including the Micro World Championships (July 7-12) and the Youth Match Racing World Championship (July 21-27), which offer a unique opportunity to see young champions in action racing on RS21 class yachts. The best sailors will compete for the world championship title in match racing, promising a dynamic and thrilling competition!

At the same time, from July 11th to 13th, the Gdynia City Cup will take place in the ILCA 4, ILCA 6, and ILCA 7 classes, and immediately after these regattas, ILCA class competitors will fight for the Polish Sprint Championship. Gdynia will also host workshops promoting sailing for people with disabilities, marking the second edition of Sails Without Barriers. During this event, the national team of sailors with disabilities in the Hansa 303 class will compete in the Gdynia Sailing Days Cup. Additionally, from July 12th to 18th, the 49er, 49erFX, Nacra 17 Test Event regattas will be held, providing the first opportunity for athletes in these classes to familiarize themselves with the World Sailing Championship venue, which will be held in Gdynia in 2027. During this time, Polish champions in skiffs will also be crowned.

The younger generation of sailors will also showcase their skills on the waters of the Gdańsk Bay. The KINDER Joy of Moving Puchar Trenerów, taking place from July 17th to 19th, will be for young sailors under the age of 13, offering them an opportunity for fun, joy, and competition in the Optimist class regattas. During this period, the Gdynia city beach will host numerous sports attractions for families.

As part of Gdynia Sailing Days 2025, several dedicated regattas will also take place, such as the GSD Cup in Open Skiff classes (July 23-24), or the GSD Cup in FINN, OKD, 505, FD, H16, N15, Preste 18 classes (July 26-27). In the third round of the regattas, sailors from the Tri-City Sailing League will compete for a spot in the regional league finals. Throughout the festival, Gdynia will become a hub for sailors from various parts of the world to compete.

The Polboat Yachting Festival (July 24-27) will be the cherry on top of Gdynia Sailing Days, showcasing the latest achievements of the Polish yacht industry and maritime technologies. The on-water yacht exhibition will attract enthusiasts of modern vessels, luxury motorboats, and innovative solutions for sailors.
